We're supposed to be a romantic race so this is the appropriate place to ask how to say I was swept off my feet in Italian. It's such a beautiful expression - suggesting the inebriating total loss of control that comes with falling in love.
Mi sono innamorato perdutamente comes close but to me it's just not strong enough.
